Michigan's homeowners market
Carriers look closely at roof age, wiring, and heating systems on every Michigan home. Water backup coverage is important, since heavy rains in 2014 and 2021 flooded thousands of basements across metro Detroit. We also cover condos, rental properties, renters, and high-value homes.
Winter, storms, and flooding
Winter brings ice dams, frozen pipes, and snow load, while summer storms bring wind, hail, and power outages. Homes near the Great Lakes and rivers can flood. A standard homeowners policy does not cover flood, so we quote it separately.
Auto, boat, and business coverage
Michigan is a no-fault state. Since the 2020 reform, drivers choose their personal injury protection level, and the default bodily injury limits are $250,000 per person and $500,000 per accident unless you choose lower limits. We'll help you understand the tradeoffs before you choose. We round out your protection with auto, boat, and umbrella coverage. For business owners, we also write business insurance, from business owners policies to commercial property, along with contractors insurance and trucking.
