Oregon's homeowners market
Carriers look closely at roof type, wildfire exposure, and the age of the home on every Oregon home. When private carriers decline a home, the Oregon FAIR Plan provides a last-resort option. We also cover condos, rental properties, renters, and high-value homes.
Wildfire, earthquake, and winter storms
The 2020 Labor Day fires, including the Almeda Fire in Talent and Phoenix, destroyed thousands of homes. Western Oregon also sits on the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which can produce a very large earthquake, and ice storms like the one that hit Portland in 2021 bring down trees and power lines. A standard homeowners policy does not cover earthquake or flood, so we quote both separately.
Auto, boat, and business coverage
Oregon requires auto liability limits of at least $25,000 per person, $50,000 per accident, and $20,000 for property damage, plus personal injury protection and uninsured motorist coverage. We round out your protection with auto, boat, and umbrella coverage. For business owners, we also write business insurance, from business owners policies to commercial property, along with contractors insurance and trucking.
