Massachusetts's homeowners market
Many Massachusetts homes are older, including triple-deckers and colonials, and carriers ask about roofs, wiring, heating systems, and plumbing. Coastal homes often carry a separate hurricane or wind deductible. When private carriers decline a home, the Massachusetts Property Insurance Underwriting Association (the FAIR Plan) provides a last-resort option. We also cover condos, rental properties, renters, and high-value homes.
Nor'easters, winter, and coastal flooding
Nor'easters bring heavy snow, ice dams, and coastal flooding, and hurricanes can reach the South Coast and Cape Cod. Frozen pipes are a common winter claim. A standard homeowners policy does not cover flood, so we quote NFIP and private flood policies.
Auto, boat, and business coverage
Massachusetts requires every driver to carry bodily injury, personal injury protection, uninsured motorist, and property damage coverage, and the state raised its minimum limits in 2025. Most drivers benefit from limits well above the minimum. We round out your protection with auto, boat, and umbrella coverage. For business owners, we also write business insurance, from business owners policies to commercial property, along with contractors insurance and trucking.
