Pennsylvania's homeowners market
Many Pennsylvania homes are older rowhomes and twins, and carriers ask about roofs, wiring, heating systems, and plumbing. In former coal regions, the state's Mine Subsidence Insurance program offers affordable coverage that standard policies exclude. We also cover condos, rental properties, renters, and high-value homes.
Flooding, winter, and storms
River flooding along the Susquehanna, Delaware, and the rivers around Pittsburgh is a long-standing risk, and remnants of hurricanes such as Ida (2021) caused flash flooding across the state. Winter brings ice dams and frozen pipes. A standard homeowners policy does not cover flood, so we quote it separately.
Auto, boat, and business coverage
Pennsylvania requires auto liability limits of at least $15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident, and $5,000 for property damage, plus $5,000 in medical benefits. You also choose between full tort and limited tort, which affects your right to sue after an accident. We round out your protection with auto, boat, and umbrella coverage. For business owners, we also write business insurance, from business owners policies to commercial property, along with contractors insurance and trucking.
