Hail and wind cause a large share of claims, so carriers look closely at roof age and material on every Kansas home, and many policies carry a separate wind and hail deductible. Tornadoes, hail, and flooding
Spring storms bring tornadoes, large hail, and straight-line winds across the state, and heavy rain can flood homes near rivers and creeks. A standard homeowners policy does not cover flood, so we quote it separately.
Auto, boat, and business coverage
Kansas is a no-fault state. Drivers must carry at least $25,000 per person, $50,000 per accident, and $25,000 for property damage, plus personal injury protection and uninsured motorist coverage. We round out your protection with auto, boat, and umbrella coverage. For business owners, we also write business insurance, from business owners policies to commercial property, along with contractors insurance and trucking.
